Winds of change

Where have I been? EVERYWHERE. Most recently the kid and I made the long journey to visit the grandparents (along with everyone else)...The place they call "home" (as in "we're so glad you came 'home'") and the place I call "where I grew up". Point of reference I guess. We're back 'home' now...where our lives happen on a daily basis. Due to recent intel as to the future of our lives, I'm going to declare that "home is where the boat is".

While "home" my mother asked about my blog...Ok, it was really more like a friendly demand...for more posts. I've been busy, but that shouldn't keep me from updating everyone...or just getting everything out so it stops clogging up my brain.

What have we been doing? Where to start? Boat work continues to be at the top of our list. It's really a labor of love (most days) and enjoyable. Keeps the brain ticking...troubleshooting and problem solving are good for you, right? The wallet hemorrhaging is just part of the deal. As is normal, we've done more boat working than sailing. 2018 was a STORMY year...stormy enough that we took the sails off. It's still so windy that we have not put them back on yet. Yes, wind is essential for sailing, but you can't get the sails back on the boat when it's blowing a gale EVERY frickin day. We've also taken the engine out...It seems that Volvo has taken notes from Volkswagen and 'misrepresented' their emissions footprint - resulting in a brand new engine for us. Presently Stillwater sits at the dock with no sails and no engine. Little does she know what the future holds... As do we. There are rumors from Nick's company about an impending 'shift' in personnel. Stay tuned...

This obviously requires supervision from above
Hoping that he learns SOMETHING
Waiting for mahi

Oreo realizes that pets are allowed in the NEX!!
